This month Samsung is launching the beta test for Android 9 Pie on its Galaxy Smartphones. Probably the most important new feature of the operating system version of the One UI is called the new user interface is to be arranged, in the case of the interactive content on devices with big screen always be within reach of the thumb. At its Keynote the company Galaxy S9 Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy announced Note 9 as to the beta program-participating devices and apparently, only these models will receive the One UI.

Compared to Tom’s Guide, Samsung declared on the sidelines of the developer conference, namely, that Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 won’t receive the modern Interface. Reasons for this were not mentioned. We have not asked the manufacturer to make a Statement, he goes on the older devices:

“We are pleased to make this year the One UI Beta program for selected Samsung Galaxy users in the USA, Germany and Korea. The official Software Update will be available from the beginning of next year, initially for the Galaxy S9, S9+, and the Note9 available and over time more countries in Europe and Asia be extended.”

It is assumed that the 2017 released Samsung Smartphones are yet to receive an Update to Android 9 Pie. How this Version will look like can currently only guess, probably Samsung will change its current Experience UI for these devices, only slightly. It is also unclear what impact that will have on the development: Samsung is expected to inform the effort, especially on the new One UI, the final Version with the Pie Update in January for the Galaxy S9 Smartphones and the Galaxy Note 9 is to be delivered. The older models are likely to be in the months that followed updated.
